Aims & scope

Bioresources and Bioprocessing (BRBP) is a peer-reviewed open access journal published under the brand SpringerOpen. BRBP aims at providing an international academic platform for exchanging views on and promoting research to support bioresource development, processing and utilization in a sustainable manner. As an application-oriented research journal, BRBP covers not only the application and management of bioresource technology but also the design and development of bioprocesses that will lead to new and sustainable production processes.

1) Development and engineering of enzyme building blocks
2) Single-enzyme mediated synthesis of chemicals
3) In vitro cascade multi-enzymatic transformations
4) Reactions using cell-free extract of coexpressed genes

Systems and Synthetic Biology

Both mini-reviews (or research accounts) and research articles are welcome. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
1) High-throughput technologies and functional genomics
2) Genome-scale models and its applications for strain improvement
3) Gene design and synthetic gene networks
4) Synthetic approaches for regulatory and metabolic circuits
